Should I buy my brake pads from the dealer or Autozone?

I have a Scion Tc 2007 and the dealer is charging 60 dollars for the front pads and 68 for the back pads. Autozone is charging 20 for the front and 28 for the back. I am thinking Autozone is cheaper because it less better quality or is it that dealers are always more expensive?

In a restaurant, is overstating inventory to understate supply cost’s illegal?

In the restaurant in which I work we run out of multiple supplies on a consistent basis. I suspect our GM is overstating our inventory on hand in order to minimize the expense of the supplies we need, thereby increasing our profitability. Consequently, we have to borrow supplies from other restaurants, under size the portions we serve, or simply do without. The restaurant is owned privately but franchised from a publicly traded company on NASDAQ. This seems like fraud to me, but i'm no lawyer.

It's a physics-related project. I need some information on the GM tube. I've tried searching in my text book, but it's not there as it is not a part of my syllabus. I tried searching online, but the results provide very detailed information which is difficult for me to understand.

I need to know what a GM tube is.
What it is used for.
How it works.

Could someone explain these three points in a way that is easily understandable?
